Arunachal Pradesh in northeast have reported more than 100 sightings of "Unidentified Flying Objects" (UFOs) in the last three months. Agencies including the Army, DRDO, NTRO and the ITBP have
not yet been able to identify these luminous flying objects.
The 14 Corps, which looks after military deployment along Kargil-Leh and looks after the frontiers with China, has sent reports to the Army Headquarters about the
sightings of UFOs by an ITBP unit in Thakung near the Pangong Tso Lake, Army officials said here. Reports suggested that these yellowish spheres appear to lift off from the horizon on the Chinese
side and slowly traverse the sky for three to five hours before disappearing.
The officials confirmed that these UFOs were not Chinese drones or satellites. They said Army had also moved a mobile ground-based radar unit and a spectrum
analyser to verify the identity of the object but could not detect the object that was being tracked visually, indicating it was non-metallic. Army officials expressed concern over the inability
of agencies to identify the object which some believed could be a Chinese surveillance equipment.
Sources said similar reports had emerged about five-six years ago about sighting of such objects but the matter was not taken up at higher levels. Reports suggested
that a group of mountaineers had seen a UFO in 2004 in Lahaul and Spiti valley in Himachal Pradesh and investigations were launched into the incident by various agencies.

A huge illuminant unidentified flying object (UFO) was reported by multiple airliner
pilots in the sky above Shanghai, the Oriental Morning Post reported Tuesday.
The pilot of airliner CZ6554 said on his micro blog that a huge spherical illuminant was seen in the sky, 10,700
meters above Shanghai at 9 pm on August 20. “The luminant was really round and getting huger, (looks) hundreds times bigger than the moon and the diameter of the luminant
was longer than 50 sea miles,” the pilot said on his micro blog.
The pilot said the aircrew of more than ten other airliners flying above Shanghai also reported the illuminant
object, one by one.
The Air Traffic Management Bureau East China also confirmed the reports on Monday.
At almost the same time, a halo in the sky above Beijing was seen by local people.
A netizen named Chen Xu published a photo of the halo on his micro blog.
Chen said the halo was small at first, then expanded, moved north, and disappeared several minutes
later.
The UFO reports follow another report from Southwest China's Chongqing municipality three days before August 20. A
UFO was seen above the landing route of the city's airport, forcing two planes to land in Guiyang of Guizhou province and Xi'an of Shaanxi province, respectively.

Le nombre d'observations d'objets volants non identifiés est à nouveau en augmentation en Belgique depuis quatre ans, selon le Comité Belge d'Etude des PhénomènesSpatiaux (COBEPS). Plus de vingt
ans après la fin de la "vague belge", des chercheurs spécialisés continuent de tenter d'expliquer ces phénomènes.
"Entre fin novembre 1989 et juin 1991, plusieurs milliers de Belges, dont des gendarmes et des militaires, furent les témoins de phénomènes aériens hautement remarquables", indique le président
du COBEPS, Patrick Ferreyn. Ces manifestations ont été majoritairement observées dans le sud de la Belgique, et plus particulièrement en province de Liège. "Il s'agissait d'objets aériens
demeurant stationnaires ou évoluant lentement, parfois à faible altitude et souvent sans le moindre bruit. Ils étaient en général de forme triangulaire, d'envergure supérieure à 15 mètres et
munis de grands phares."
Les observations sont ensuite devenues épisodiques à partir de 1994. En 2007, l'asbl SOBEPS, qui coordonnait les recherches en la matière, fut dissoute faute d'observations suffisantes. La même
année, un reportage de la RTBF allait cependant relancer les investigations. A la suite de la diffusion de l'émission "Questions à la Une", de nombreuses personnes ont contacté la chaîne publique
pour lui faire part de leurs témoignages. Ceux-ci concernaient essentiellement la "vague belge" , mais également d'autres observations.
"Malgré la confusion avec les lanternes chinoises qui ont envahi l'Europe depuis quelques années, les observations de phénomènes ont augmenté depuis quatre ans" , assure Patrick Ferreyn.
La dernière observation relevante en Belgique date de février dernier à Huy, indique le COBEPS. "Le témoin est fiable et nous avons vérifié auprès des milieux officiels qu'il ne s'agissait pas
d'un phénomène explicable (avion, hélicoptère, ...)".
Le COBEPS organisera un colloque et une conférence publique le 14 mai à Perwez pour faire le point sur le phénomène Ovni en Belgique.

Voici un site intéressant qui montre, photos à l'appui, que de nombreuses oeuvres d'art - dessins, fresques, objets, peintures rupestres,
peintures, illustrations diverses, sont le reflet des apparitions d'objets non identifiés au cours des siècles. A l'époque, même si on ne savait pas ce que c'était, on n'hésitait pas à le faire
figurer sur les oeuvres d'art, sans censure.
Bien sûr, on y croit .... ou on n'y croit pas ! A chacun son opinion.
